Mario Hintermayer was born in Austria in 1959, but has lived his life internationally. He was at home from 1998 to 2020 in the Principality of Monaco, since 2005 also in Bali and since 2010 also in Singapore. Due to travel restrictions in recent years, he moved his center of life to Dubai in 2022. According to his statement, his social commitment was literally passed on to him from birth, probably due to the premature death of his sick sister. After a major financial loss at the age of 22, he worked his way up on his own, and as an entrepreneur, he also helped many of his business partners to achieve financial success. In 2000, he founded his first social foundation. His commitment was focused especially on mentally and physically disadvantaged people. In this area, he worked closely with Prince Albert of Monaco. Among his more than 200 projects, one can find the construction of schools after the terrible tsunami in Sri Lanka, the construction of a temple on Shaolin Mountain in China, and support for important social projects in many countries, as well as in Bali.

As part of the traditional Monte Carlo Rally, a unique vehicle was presented to the international press and the key handed over to the patron of the project, Prince Albert of Monaco. It was clear at once that a "star" was born. From now on, the car, painted in the Monegasque state colours, was a real eye-catcher at every public appearance. As an Ambassador of the Special Olympics and the World Health & Sports Foundation, he has raised awareness of people with mental disabilities.
With proceeds from the auction in the amount of € 175,000, the Special Olympics European Swimming Championship in Monaco was funded in 2002 with 700 athletes from 33 countries. Read more here.
